The new Linux Virtual Desktop 1.3 as part of XenApp and XenDesktop 7.9 release extends the reach for IT to enable more use cases with CentOS support, Client drive mapping and more options for 3D graphics applications in the virtualization environment.
This release enables the support for CentOS 6.7 and 7.2 for both hosted shared and VDI dedicated desktop modes. CentOS is similar to RedHat from an architecture perspective as well as the installation; configuration is similar for both. In addition, if you are new to the Linux world and don’t have the required licenses yet, CentOS is easily available for you to start the PoC with Linux Virtual Desktop.
